The Gallery On The Square is now accepting new original works for commissioned sale. If you are a regional artist, please read through the following and contact us with any questions you may have.

  • Artists must complete the Guild Member Application to be submitted with work.

  • Paintings must be framed OR if on a stretched canvas, the edges of the canvas must be painted as though the artwork continued around all edges.  Framed pieces must be ready to be hung.

  • The Standards committee will meet to determine if the pieces are suitable for display at the Gallery. Gallery reserves the right of refusal of any work submitted for display. Once the Standards committee has met, the director will notify the artist if his work has been accepted.

  • Upon acceptance, a liability form/contract must be completed and submitted along with the biography page.

  • Rotation of work is expected throughout the year. Any work left more than two (2) years without any contact between the Gallery and the artist will become the sole property of the Gallery.

  • The Gallery takes a 40% commission for the handling of the work with the artist receiving 60%.

  • Artists are paid monthly.

If you would like to review our artist contracts or the application form please find them in PDF format below.  If you would like to submit work, you can print out the biography in advance and bring it with your work.  If you are unable to do that, we'll be happy to provide you with the form when you come to the Gallery.

Volunteer

The Gallery On The Square was organized in 1992 by a group of dedicated artists and community volunteers. As a non-profit whose focus is on community arts education the Gallery appreciates any time and effort community members may have to give.

We welcome people who can teach classes, help with student education or give time work in the store, to greet the public or give their time in a multitude of capacities! We also have seasonal fun projects and workshops for those who may only have an hour here or there to give.

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form below, or email us at franklinsgalleryonthesquare@gmail.com

Make a donation.

As a non profit organization we depend on support from all those who appreciate the Gallery and the work it does. Your support is critical factor in our ability to bring quality education and art experiences to the adults and children of Franklin and Simpson County and our surrounding communities. Through our dedicated Board of Directors’ leadership and our volunteers, our community members enjoy a wide range of top quality art exhibits, classes, workshops, and social events. We now ask for your continued support so that we may continue to provide quality programming as well as realize new and exciting plans!
